The Innovation Prize of the ZENIT e.V.

The Innovation Prize of the network ZENIT e.V. is awarded approximately every two years. The objective is to demonstrate the innovation potential which exists in the Federal State of North Rhine-Westphalia and to make a symbolic contribution to strengthening innovative business development. After all, small and medium sized enterprises generate a large number of excellent and highly innovative products and services.

In general, the jury commends an individual enterprise in NRW which has grown over the last years thanks to the innovations it has made and which, as a result, has created employment as well as nurturing a climate where innovation can thrive.

Apart from prize money, the enterprise is awarded one year's free membership in the network and a publicity campaign.

The winner of the 2007 Innovation Prize is eltherm Elektrowärmetechnik GmbH – an SME in Burbach. The network succeeded in gaining Professor Dr. Andreas Pinkwart, Minister of Innovation of North Rhine-Westphalia, as patron of the Innovation Prize both in 2007 and 2005.
